Our Accomplishments & Annual Report 2013-2014

by Kathryn M. Doan, Esq.

CAIR Coalition has published our 2013 Annual Report & for the first time, a 2014 Year in Review Infographic.

We delighted to share with you our recently published CAIR Coalition Annual Report 2013 as well as our 2014 Year in Review Infographic. Both documents highlight the ways in which CAIR Coalition’s programs and services have grown in the last several years. We are now serving more immigrant adults and children than ever. We have also launched several new programs. These include the Virginia Justice Program to educate public defenders on the immigration consequences of crimes so they can better serve their non-US citizen clients and a direct representation program for unaccompanied immigrant children who leave the detention facilities we serve to live with local family or friends. In partnership with several other organizations, we have also launched the DMV (DC/MD/VA) DAPA Collaborative bringing together law firms, legal service providers and local bar associations with the goal of ensuring that as many applicants as possible in our area benefit from President Obama’s recent grant of deferred action to parents of US citizens and legal permanent residents. While we were disappointed by the recent federal district court decision blocking the implementation of the program, we are optimistic that the program will eventually move forward and will continue our planning efforts. All of this would not have been possible without our supporters. Please consider making a donation so that CAIR Coalition can continue to ensure that all immigrants are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect for their human and civil rights.   YR 2014 Copy (3)   Donate Now.
