CAIR Coalition partners with over 40 D.C. area law firms that provide thousands of hours of free legal assistance to immigrants being held in local jails in Virginia and Maryland. These pro bono partnerships are vital to CAIR Coalition’s ability to serve the hundreds of immigrants who are detained in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody each month. Learn more about pro bono opportunities with CAIR Coalition.
As part of CAIR Coalition’s commitment to increasing the number of pro bono attorneys trained to represent detained immigrants who seek asylum or some other type of immigration relief, we are in the process of constructing an on-line library of sample motions, briefs and other materials to assist our pro bono partners in litigating cases on behalf of detained immigrants. Some of these materials will also be available to the general public and others will be available only to CAIR Coalition members or attorneys who have accepted a pro bono matter from CAIR Coalition.
