2010 Annual Reception and Pro Bono Awards Ceremony
Thanks to all of our supporters for a successful celebration of our generous volunteers and pro bono partners! In 2010, we honored The Immigration Law Clinic at the University of Virginia School of Law as our 2010 Community Partner of the Year, and Troutman Sanders as our 2010 Law Firm Partner of the Year. We also enjoyed hearing our Keynote Speaker, Juan Osuna, Associate Deputy Attorney General for Immigration Policy.
2009 Annual Reception and Pro Bono Awards Ceremony
On September 24, 2009, CAIR Coalition celebrated 10 years as a leader in immigrant advocacy and community coalition building in the Washington metropolitan area. Over 80 guests joined CAIR Coalition staff and board members for a reception at the law offices of Jones Day to honor Sidley Austin, CAIR Coalition’s 2009 Pro Bono Firm of the Year and Christopher Klimmek of O’Melveny and Myers, CAIR Coalition’s 2009 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year.
The evening raised over $80,000 from law firms and individual donors to support CAIR Coalition’s programs and help insure that immigrants are treated with fairness, dignity and respect for their human and civil rights.
