CAIR Coalition opposes the administration’s announcement of regulations designed to roll back vital protections for vulnerable unaccompanied immigrant children. The proposed regulations would rescind protections established in the Flores Settlement agreement and expose many traumatized children to prolonged detention in harsh conditions.

CAIR Coalition submitted comments last October about the myriad of ways that rescinding the Flores Settlement would affect the well-being and rights of our child clients. CAIR Coalition believes that unaccompanied immigrant youth should be treated with dignity and respect.
