Atticus joined CAIR Coalition in 2017 as a legal assistant to the detained adult program, conducting direct representation support and legal research. Atticus works specifically with detained adults from Prince George's County, Maryland, where the County government and CAIR Coalition are collaborating to provide free legal representation to immigrants under a universal representation model.
Prior to joining CAIR Coalition, Atticus worked as a journalist in Colombia, reporting on the country's peace process. Atticus holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago, where he guided local and global initiatives to promote restorative justice and conducted ethnographic research in Colombia.
