Joshua Bush was born in Seattle, Washington but grew up in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He came to CAIR as a fellow through the Westmoreland Service Corps in 2019, and serves as a legal assistant on the Legal Orientation Program (LOP) team. In this capacity, he works to help provide information to adult detainees about the court processes they will be moving through, and providing support to these people as they represent themselves.
Before coming to CAIR, Joshua was completing his B.A in International Relations at American University, which he completed in May of 2019. During his time at AU, Joshua focused on Peace, Conflict Resolution, and Human Rights, the latter of which was a major driving force in creating a hope and drive for him to work at CAIR through the Westmoreland Program.
