Mark Feldman, Esq.
Mark joined CAIR Coalition in 2018 and serves as a staff attorney for adults held in immigration detention in Virginia and Maryland.
Before joining CAIR Coalition, Mark was a law fellow at the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama, where he represented prisoners on death row, juveniles sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, and reentry clients throughout the South. Previously, he clerked for Judge Jesus Bernal on the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and Judge Robert P. Patterson, Jr. on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
During law school, Mark was president of the Stanford chapter of the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project, and a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, where he represented indigent defendants in state and federal court. He also interned or volunteered at the Federal Public Defender in San Francisco, the Bluhm Legal Clinic, the Prison University Project, and the National Immigrant Justice Center. Prior to law school, Mark was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, and worked for ACCION, a microfinance institution based in Boston.
Mark holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. in comparative literature from the University of Michigan.
