Rachel, an Atlanta native, joined CAIR Coalition in September 2019 as a Legal Assistant in the Detained Adult Program. She spends most of her time working in the legal orientation program with detained adults in Virginia facilities. In 2018 she graduated from the University of Georgia with majors in International Affairs and Spanish and a minor in religion. During college, Rachel studied in Buenos Aires where she studied genocide and human rights and worked at the national monument of remembrance for the disappeared in the capital. Before joining CAIR, she spent a year on a Fulbright grant as an English Teaching Assistant in La Rioja, Spain where she continued research on genocide while also teaching in a primary school.
