Elizabeth Nehrling Sotiriou, Esq.
Elizabeth joined CAIR Coalition in 2016 as an Attorney in the Detained Children’s program. In this role she provides immigration legal services to detained immigrant children in Virginia. Her duties include representing immigrant children in immigration and state court, mentoring pro bono attorneys, and community outreach.
Prior to joining CAIR Coalition, Elizabeth was a Staff Attorney and Sumner M. Redstone Fellow in Public Service at Ayuda, where she represented low-income immigrant clients in a diverse range of humanitarian and family-based immigration cases. She has previously worked with immigrant communities in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Mexico. Elizabeth holds a B.A. from American University, an M.S. from the University of London SOAS, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
