Managing Attorney

Elizabeth Nehrling Sotiriou is a Managing Attorney in the Detained Children's Program. In this role, Beth oversees and participates in the provision of Know Your Rights presentations, legal intake interviews, and direct legal representation to immigrant minors in federal government detention facilities. Prior to joining CAIR Coalition, Beth was a Staff Attorney and Sumner M. Redstone Fellow in Public Service at Ayuda, where she represented low-income immigrant clients in a diverse range of humanitarian and family-based immigration cases. She has previously worked with immigrant communities in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Mexico, and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso. Beth holds a B.A. from American University, an M.Sc. from the University of London, SOAS, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
