Julia Bizer, Esq.
Julia joined CAIR Coalition in 2017 as part of their Detained Children’s Program. She provides immigration legal services to detained immigrant children, mentors pro bono attorneys, and performs community outreach.
Prior to joining CAIR Coalition, Julia was the Staff Attorney at KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights, where she provided direct representation to survivors of domestic violence in family law court, and presented training s to domestic violence service providers on serving Muslim and immigrant survivors of domestic violence. Before that she worked at Bushman Law Group where she focused on court appointments as a Guardian ad litem, representing the best interests of children after allegations of abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Julia attended University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law where she earned the Henry Carrico Center Pro Bono Certificate. She interned at Central Virginia Legal Aid Society and Just Neighbors. Julia is now Secretary on the Board of Directors of Just Neighbors, a legal nonprofit providing hope to low income immigrants in northern Virginia. She is licensed to practice in Virginia and D.C. and speaks Spanish.
