Taqwa Elhindi

Taqwa is an Immigrant Justice Corp Fellow at CAIR Coalition where she is part of the Detained Adult Program. Her work at CAIR involves direct representation and assistance through the legal orientation program.  

While Taqwa has always been passionate about working with refugees, it is through the East Bay Law Center Immigration Clinic and working on broader immigration justice issues at the Center for Constitutional Rights, that she discovered her passion for immigration work. She joined CAIR in 2018, shortly after graduating from law school. Taqwa earned both her bachelor degree and juris doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
