Working with an Salvadoran father of five who feared returning to his home country after local police tortured him and murdered his cousin as part of a brutal extortion scheme, a team of pro bono attorneys from Morgan Lewis was able to secure a stipulation from the government of Withholding of Removal under the Convention Against Torture (relief similar to asylum). That the government stipulated without a hearing is a testament to the strength of the case the Morgan Lewis team prepared. Congratulations to Morgan Lewis and the team lead, Catherine Kuersten, on this great win.
