Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition has joined over 160 local and national organizations to express our collective outrage regarding the Department of Homeland Security's plans to conduct raids in communities around the United States to round up and deport Central American children and their parents. These are families that fled horrific levels of violence that will now be stripped of the right to seek protection from persecution. We urge President Barack Obama to renounce the use of such harsh tactics against these Central American asylum seekers and stand as a champion for their protection.
