Asylum Through a Young Client's Eyes

Hello,

My name is Aatifa. I am from Afghanistan. I had to leave my country because of some very bad things that happened to me there. In Afghanistan they don’t treat women very good at all. They don’t respect women. I arrived in American and didn’t know anything, not the language, not the culture.

CAIR Coalition found me right away and got me some very good and very nice lawyers. The prepared a huge application for me to get asylum. It was over 500 pages. They got me my asylum. It means I can stay in America. I will thank them for the rest of my life. Most especially, I want to thank Jillian Stonecipher, Sarah Erickson-Muschko, Stephanie Connor, and Shannon Han of Gibson Dunn. They were so nice they gave me some nice gifts. That made me feel so good because I knew they loved me. I thank all of you at CAIR for helping me. I am so glad to be in America so I can be free.

Help us celebrate Noviembre de Niños and purchase an item off of our Amazon Wish List which will be gifted to immigrant children in detention facilities served by CAIR Coalition.
